COMPETITION RULES

   1.  Entry to stage must be in an orderly manner.

   2. (a) Winners of novice competitions may not enter in
               intermediate or open competitions.

        (b) Under age dancers may not compete in adult              
               competitions.

   3.  Previous years novice winners will be automatically
        graded as intermediate and previous years intermediate
        winners will be automatically graded as open.

   4.  Teachers or team captains must register their teams
         thirty minutes before the start of their competition, as
         draw will take place at that time, for the order of dancing.

   5.  All teams must dance in draw order.

   6.  Entries will not be taken outside the thirty minute limit.

   7.  Teams are required to dance two figures of a set. In the
        event of a tie teams will dance an additional figure.

   8.  It is recommended that where competition is for mixed
         teams, teams should consist of four ladies and four gents.
        (Two ladies and two gents for half sets).

   9.  If during a performance a dancer sustains an injury or falls on
        stage, the performance shall be suspended if the person is
        unable to continue. A substitute will be permitted and the team
        will be allowed to dance again at the end of the respective
        competition. Adjudication will be on the second performance.

10.  Music is provided but teams may use their own musicians if
        they wish to do so.

11.  Perpetual trophy winners will be decided by adjudicators.

12.  Adjudicators decision is final. No correspondence can be entered
        into. Entry implies acceptance of these rules.

ADDITIONAL RULES FOR SENIOR MIXED OPEN

1.    Teams must consist of four ladies and four gents.

2.    Team leader must register one hour before the start of
       competition and names of competitors must be provided.

3.    No competitor may dance more than once in the mixed open
       competition; e.g. any dancer may not compete with two different
       teams in this competition.

4.    Under extreme circumstances a replacement may be used at the
       discretion of the committee and the adjudicators.

5.    Only the dancers who win can avail of the prize.

6.    The prize is non transferable there is NO cash equivalent.

7.    Presentation will be made at the Saturday night ceili.
